Rome-Kofford Style

So maybe you all are sick of hearing about our trip.....But the stubborn person in me, won't move on to other subjects until I finish blogging this dang trip (besides, my mom thinks my blog is cool). So grin and bear it people, here comes the Rome portion.

JJ, its right behind you!
Crazy ol Romans and their crazy Colusseum.
So crazy that this....
Can be this.
That Michelangelo has some talent eh?

So this was probably one of my favorite moments in Rome. Take a minute and watch this video and you'll see why. This little kid was bellisimo!

Ahh life mimicking art, or is it art mimicking life?
The Apostle Paul wrote his letter to the Romans from this jail.

Check out some of the friends we made.
I love this guy. He totally has a drool spot on his shirt. Nothin better than napping on the subway.(with your hand in your pants)Look at this crazy Italian we found! JJ's all making friends with the next Presidential candidate. He was as giddy as a school boy after we met Mitt. (We're on a first name basis now, I can call him Mitt)
Right before this picture was taken at the Spanish steps, some Romeo comes up to me and JJ and gives me a single red rose. For me? How nice these Italians are! Of course, I took it. Why not, I deserve a beautiful red rose right? He was giving it to me after all. Then he kind of lingers and JJ and I (being the perceptive fools we are) figure out he wants money for it. I promptly tried to give it back to him. (I'm not paying for a dinky rose!)

Romeo: You big boss (looking at JJ) and she pretty lady. Good luck. And he tries to give me the rose again.

JJ: No, dude we don't want it.

Me: Yeah, no thank you. Really I'm okay.

Romeo: It's okay. You big boss. You pretty lady. You love. Good luck.

And we went on like this for about 5 minutes. When he realized the cheap American's weren't taking his stinkin rose his demeanor changed quickly and he stomped off. We had several more experiences like this one while in Rome. We wisened up and learned not to take the stinkin rose in the first place. Besides, JJ is still the big boss and I'm still the pretty lady, we don't need a rose to tell us that.

I would maybe be bored reading someone else's travel details, but not yours. Nothing about your blog is ever boring. Especially that fantastic man on the bus - drool and all. Good times. Sounds like such a fun trip. I'm officially jealous.

Looks to me like Rome was a real threat to Prague being the highlight of the trip !!!

Yay! I am so jealous! So I have been trying to convince Matt that we should go to Europe next spring and he's not biting. Maybe if I show him your rockin' pics, he'll be sold!
