So I know I totally missed posting about Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. That doesn't mean they weren't rockin though! Rather than backtrack, I'm moving forward. Suffice it to say I am a blessed girl with wonderful friends and family. I enjoyed spending time with all of them and I just love em all s'much.
On to the current happy happenings.
No one can make me laugh like the J man can. He gets my humor and knows how to make me laugh so hard I just about pee my pants and do the silent laughsohardI'mgonnathrowup face. He's truly one of a kind, that kid. He has done some pretty funny stuff recently and I know many of you know and love JJ and will appreciate these JJisms.
The other day we were talking with some people about "swear words". He leans forward in his chair and says, "Yeah, when I was little, my mom used to give me tabasco sauce if I said the word, (and his voice gets quieter here) B-U-T." And he proudly sits back in his chair. (Silence) We just looked at him while Debi corrected him, B-U-T-T. Apparently he is not allowed to use conjunctions. Poor kid has to talk in short sentences. Imagine if he said words like A-N-D!
We recently went on a quick road trip to Arizona with the Kofford parentals. Mama Kofford was telling us how Papa Kofford married her for her "hair and her legs. And now [her] hair and legs aren't what they used to be." JJ's response? "Welp, at least you still have hairy legs!"
One of his few weaknesses is that he has a hard time remembering names. One time we were leaving our house and our neighbor (who's name is Bob) was outside mowing his lawn. JJ leans over to me and says "Good 'ol Ed!" I laughed outloud and corrected him, No its Bob.
Later that week, he ran into neighbor Bob and struck up a conversation (being the friendly kid he is). "Bob? Ed? No Bob. No its Ed." was playing in his mind while they were talking. A few minutes later comes "Your name is Ed right?"
He still has to sit and think about our neighbors name.
I can't help but bring up the "Welp, we're gonna go make a baby!" story. Truly one of my favorites.
One Sunday JJ and I were watching Fiddler on the Roof because JJ had never seen it. During the movie, my brother called me. Matt asked me what we were doing and I replied, "Watching Fiddler on the Roof." JJ pleads from across the room, "Oh great. Don't tell him that!" I guess he wanted me to say some manly movie, like Transformers or the Happiest Millionnaire. :)
A classic "JJ story".
JJ: So I went to Albertsons today to pick up a fluorescent lightbulb.
Me: Yeah?
JJ: Turns out, they don't have 'em at Albertsons.
Silence
Me: Is that it?
JJ (side smiling): Yeah.
I sure do love the boy and I am grateful to be with someone who makes me laugh so hard.

Man, where have you been? My blogging life is so boring without your posts!!! :)
Good to catch up on the JJisms. We miss both of you
SOoooo funny! You may not have kids to post crazy things about yet, but the JJisms are perfect in place! Very funny!
Classic JJ. Classic.
Those are so funny. I loved the conjunction one. I'm glad you married someone that makes you laugh so hard (I accidently mis-typed that a second ago and said, "I'm glad you married someone that makes ME laugh so hard" oops! that too!)
Reading this post is SOOOO much more funny when you actually imagine JJ saying those things! :) I can see it all too clearly! LOL
I only wish you had brought his funny humor and your hilariousness with us to Disneyland! I miss you girlfriend! So much!
JJ- your sooooooooo funny:)
That post made me lol! Very funny. Made me think of:
JJ eating salsa and saying: So one time my friend and I made salsa.
Waiter comes and interrupts. After he leaves I say: So you were talking about making salsa?
JJ: No, that was all.
Although there might have been a B-U-T in the story so he had to stop.
I am laughing so hard! Those are all amazing Jayge stories! I love them. And I also love the straight-forward way you tell them so I can completely hear your actual conversation. You are just brilliant and that Jayge is one crazy guy. :)
Ha Ha! You you two are quite the pair. I think the "making a baby" story is my favorite still. Hope you had a great b-day yesterday!
