I am Irish for today!

And now a St. Patrick's day song/poem. (Courtesy of Mama Robbins who has a song for every occasion and has passed that wonderful trait on to me)

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH,
Me mother isn't Irish and me father isn't too
But today I feel as Irish as the really Irish do
For today I wear a shamrock that is very green and GAY! (Oh come on, not like that people!)
And although I'm very American, I am Irish for today!

If you see me today, I'll sing to you in person! Really if you see me any other day I'll probably still sing it to you.

OK, the picture is absolutely hilarious! Where exactly does one purchase tights like that? And a "fanny pack" to match! Seriously, snappy dresser!

Oh, if only you looked like that picture and ALSO sang the little ditty! Now, THAT would be FANtastic! (No wonder our Moms are such good friends. Lin always a song/poem for every occasion as well.)

I think it so funny that you remember so many of the songs/ditties mom use to sing. I remember some but not nearly as many as you. But I do remember this one and I think it applies: Mirror, mirror on the wall
I am my mother after all.
