I can't believe that I've been married for two weeks, and I haven't even put together a blog about our marriage! Natalie and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 18th, two weeks ago today. Not to toot our own horn, but the sealing was amazing. I loved every minute of it, but you know, I'll be honest, I was so nervous! I hardly slept that night, and was just a nervous wreck all morning. I ended up leaving my house early because everyone kept reminding me that I was getting married in 'x' amount of hours (as if I didn't already know). I didn't think I would ever grow to detest the "I'm getting married in the morning," song as much as I did! I was sc-sc-sc-scared! But the neatest part about it was walking into the temple with my bride to be. The Spirit was there, and it totally calmed our nerves. One of my favorite moments from that day was sitting in the Celestial room with Natalie, before our actual sealing. I love her more than I have words to describe. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. (I know there are those of you who are sick of the lovey dovey-ness of our blogs, but honestly, we just can't help it).
I was happy that Natalie arranged to have our bridal and groomal's done before the day of the wedding, so instead of 6 hours of pictures we only had 3! I was so tired of smiling. After the pictures, Shauna took us to lunch at the Nauvoo Restaurant, just next door to the room where our reception was held. We had to move our cars from the Conference Center parking, to the JSMB building. I took the liberty of giving her a very much deserved "good game," to break the very 'thick' ice. Anyway, after we hurried and horked our food down, we had to hurry and get to work, setting up the room, getting it ready for the reception.
After the set up, we of course had more pictures to take with the family in their designated attire. I had to laugh though, because my brothers, and my dad especially, made fun of me on many occasions for wearing pink ties. Oh what sweet retribution that was to see them in pink ties that day!
How grateful we were for our special day! Everything seemed to go so smoothly, and it there was a very distinct, and sweet spirit that day. I am very happy to say that I love my wife so dearly, and am so grateful that she took a chance on me. I remember hearing the words of President Hinkley, addressing the young men of the church, telling us that the young women of the church have to take terrible risks on us young men. I am so grateful for Natalie, and for how inately kind she is, and fun, goofy, and blasted cute she is. She really is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and she was absolutely well worth the wait.

That is so great. I love the long posts. I can't believe how things turned out on your honeymoon. What a fun story to tell your kids someday huh?
